Part 2 – Mooned without the Zen

This is an addition for all non-purists.

Following the Zentangle© method, pencils and erasers are not supposed to be used. However, I get enough zen even when I occasionally have to dig out the eraser either to add highlights to my shading, or, like in this case, to enhance a pattern.

Mooned Zen is beautiful – nonetheless, Mooned without the Zen has it’s own charm. My pencil lines are usually very soft. Most of the time there is no reason to erase them as the shading covers them up anyway.

So here it is. Instead of drawing the first box and diagonal line in pen, draw lightly with pencil as a guide. You will have an instant 3D effect when you reach Step 5.

Another super pattern, Ina. Thank you! i just looked inside your book & i can’t wait to get it from Amazon. Thank you for making it available to “look inside” on Amazon.com. That was very helpful in my decision to buy it.
