New Tangle Pattern – Nulink

With last weeks excitement (the release of Tangle It! Journal Vol.1), I really missed out sharing another one of my new patterns.

To make up for it, I am going to publish 2 new patterns this week!

Nulink Pattern 1

Nulink is suited wonderfully to divide string lines or to create a border. The pattern can be stretched in all directions. Instead of starting off with parallel lines, try a V-shape. This adds dimension to any artwork.

Shading – oh my gosh – there are so many possibilities! Please don’t be shy when it comes to adding shadow. Add layer after layer, stand back and look at your artwork again. Closeup it may seem too dark, but holding it at arms length will show you that in this case, more is better!

If you would like to learn more about shading, I can highly recommend the publications by Eni Oken.

Shading Fearlessly is available as a .pdf download and nowadays in print as well.

Have a wonderful weekend!
